I just found these pictures that I forgot to post. I almost didn't post them, but I guess we still love our Tigers, right? The kids do anyway. They're still cheering "L-S-U!" whenever they remember we taught them that cheer. The funniest thing to me was the day after the game. They practically fought over who told me first that LSU lost. ha! They're funny! :)

Polar Express
On the last day of school before the break, we turned out classroom into a movie theater! Each student got a ticket, we marched around the class on a "train," and I punched their tickets before they went to their seats. I think all that excitement was better than the movie! Ha!
Presents!
What Christmas would be complete without the presents!? Moms and Dads sent in books to be opened at school. It was a fun time :)
Winter Centers
Instead of a Christmas Party, we rotated around our room in Winter Centers. We had a blast doing different Christmas activities. We made Jingle Bell Bracelets, Christmas Cards, Reindeer Food, Frosty Floats (coke floats), and decorated numbered Christmas Trees with M&M ornaments. Thank you so much to my mom, Mrs. Paula, Myron's mom, and a second-grader for helping out! I could NOT have done it without you!!!
Christmas Around the World
Before our Christmas break, we learned about many different Christmas traditions around the world. Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas in Holland, Italy, and Mexico were the ones we studied. Here are some pictures from Hanukkah and Holland.
Hanukkah
We learned all about the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah. During Hanukkah, potato latkes are made with oil to remember the oil that burned for 8 days during the first Hanukkah. We loved making and eating these special treats.
Christmas in Holland
Children in Holland place their wooden shoes out for Sinterclaus to fill with treats. We thought we'd give it a try while we took a "nap." It worked! Our shoes were filled with goodies! What fun!
