We just completed a unit on Winter. We learned about penguins and winter weather. We did a fun art activity where the students traced their feet and hands to make penguins. They are my favorite thing we've done all year!!! :)
We also worked very hard on our "Winter People." First, the students traced their person and each article of clothing. They cut them out, and glued them all together. Their favorite part was the hair! We practiced writing on lines (something all 1st graders have to do!). I think they came out pretty well!
