Eating like a Spider

On our last day of studying spiders, we got to eat like them! Unlike us, spiders don't have teeth, so they inject their prey with poison, wait for it to soften, and then drink the insides. Sooo, each student was given a sugar cube (hard like an insect) and an eye dropper with a bowl of water (poison). They put water on the sugar cube until it dissolved. They were then given straws to suck the liquid like a spider. And they actually drank it!

Mrs. Mayeux stopped by to see what was going on. (It was crazy hat day... Mrs. Mayeux doesn't usually walk around like a pirate :)
