Today we learned about the men and women who fight to keep us safe. We learned the word veteran and what it means. I think they really did understand the concept! We made a sign to e-mail to Mrs. Fitzgerald's Papa, who served in the Navy. We also made cards to send to Mrs. Fitzgerald's friend who is actively serving in the Army (we'll also send him this picture). I think my favorite part is that this sign is being used so many ways. Mr. Fitzgerald (who is in PA school), is rotating at the Veterans Clinic and will bring the sign from our class to hang in their office. I hope our precious children will bring joy to those men and women and let them know how much we appreciate them keeping our country a safe place to live.

Happy Veterans Day!
Today we learned about the men and women who fight to keep us safe. We learned the word veteran and what it means. I think they really did understand the concept!
