Shapes

We've also been learning about shapes. Mostly just the 4 basic shapes- circle, square, triangle, and rectangle- but this day we experimented a little differently. After discussing each shape in the Pattern Blocks set, I poured out a few handfuls in front of each student to manipulate and explore. This lead to hand clapping and exclaiming "You're the best teacher ever!" Amazing what a few blocks can do, huh? :)

Caterpillar- most of my students end up loving bugs, since my classroom's theme is insects!
